2x2 pin adapter is used to connect to older VW, Audi and SEAT cars through an OBD-II cable. The 2x2 adapter serves as a bridge between the car's diagnostic socket and an OBD-II connector. Cars equipped with 2x2 sockets usually have them located near the fusebox, under the shifter cuff or under one of the dashboard caps.
